Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapeutic approach that aims to reduce maladaptive behaviors while promoting positive alternative behaviors. It is grounded in evidence and has demonstrated effectiveness for children on the autism spectrum (source: https://www.bacb.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Behavioral-Treatment-of-Autism-and-Other-Developmental-Disabilities-Fact-Sheet_230306-a.pdf). ABA also addresses gaps in social skills, communication abilities, executive functioning, and daily living skills. Each therapy session is customized to meet the unique needs of the child and their family. Progress is measured through data collection, and reinforcement strategies are employed to encourage desirable behaviors.
